Local Internet advertising on the rise

Businesses are increasingly turning to local Internet advertising, according to a report released Friday by advertising research company Borrell Associates.

Local advertisers will spend $13.1 billion this year, an increase of 50% from 2007, according to the report. The report also predicts that local online ad spending will grow another 40% to $18.2 billion in 2009. Borrell said that the growth of local online advertising likely stems from the lower costs and higher accountability of online advertising.

6. Sponsors are offered the opportunity to advertise on Wedding Weekly, the site’s e-newsletter that goes to all of our brides and grooms.

7. Sponsors are connected with our brides-to-be who share their website and those who complete our Online Wedding Planner, requesting info and pricing from our sponsors.

Static Ads (definition)
A static ad is an advertisement on a web page that does not move from that location. Every time a visitor opens that page the ad is there.

Rotating Ads (definition)
A rotating ad is an advertisement that comes randomly from a list of sponsors ads and changes each time the page is requested. If you were to reload the same page you are viewing, you would see the next ad in the list.
